Transfer is not a copy. The original does not persist.
Cognition is read from the subject over a continuous eleven-hour window and written to a synthetic chassis. The organic body does not survive the read. Subjects are counselled on this point and must consent in the presence of two witnesses, one of whom may not be an employee of the sponsoring organisation.
Post-transfer, a subject retains procedural skill and episodic memory. Preference, aversion and attachment are inconsistently preserved. Subjects 003 and 006 no longer recognise next of kin.
Chassis CH-4 through CH-6 are rated to 340 °C sustained, 0.0 atm, and 14 g sustained acceleration. Service interval 400 days. Chassis are leased, not sold, and remain the property of Prodigy Corporation.
register
Six transfers in stable operation.
Designations follow internal convention and are not the legal names of the individuals concerned. Legal identity is extinguished at transfer; a restored subject is an asset of the sponsoring organisation for the term of the chassis lease.

schemes
Continuity against settlement.
A death-in-service settlement discharges an obligation and leaves the sponsoring organisation without the individual. Continuity retains the individual and transfers the obligation into a leased asset with a predictable service cost. Sponsors report a 71% reduction in re-qualification spend within two operating years.
| Scheme | Enrolment, Cr/head/yr | Transfer, Cr | Chassis lease, Cr/yr |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tier I — critical roles | 84,000 | 1,940,000 | 310,000 |
| Tier II — skilled roles | 52,000 | 1,410,000 | 265,000 |
| Tier III — general crew | 18,000 | 880,000 | 210,000 |
Organisations currently pricing a life at between 1.8 and 2.4 million credits are invited to compare that figure against Tier II enrolment. A settlement buys silence. Continuity buys the operator back.
